What are your concerns? Get Help. 1 Year, 9 Months ago Karma: 1
The forum was set up so that you could post your concerns in areas of needed help. There is an area for family members that are struggling with dealing with inmates and need help in these areas. Post your concerns and we will try to find someone to provide a solution in that particular area.

Hello,

I have a good friend that has been in some trouble. Currently he's in Bay County Jail with no bond until his court date at the end of January. I've never known someone in jail and not sure how all this works. I am also located out of state so, a personal visit from me would not be possible.

I am hoping I could get someone from the jail ministry to visit him and reach out to him with encouragement and hope - for not only the current situation he's in but for his future. I'm the kind of person that looks at people the way God does, hates the sin but loves the sinner - and I'm not ready to give up on him...everyone needs someone in their corner. I've seen the struggle in him to pull things together and he does good for a bit of time but can't seem to maintain it. We all struggle with life but for some the struggle is more apparent than others. I want him to know that people do care - even when he's kinda messed things up...there are people who want him to succeed, be happy and healthy and living in God's grace.

Can you tell me how I could arrange a visit from someone in the ministry for him?

Thank you very much, In Christ's name,
Christine

My question is this...if an inmate is in the halfway house, is it mandatory to stay the entire 12 months? I don't understand this at all, I've just heard about you 2 days ago, so I'm just wondering.
